This album is divided into 4 tracks that aim to sonorously depict the final moments of my mother's life. Track 1 - The Owl's Call. Culturally believed, when the "Rasga mortalha" owl sings, it is announcing someone's death. In this musical piece, I used a whistle as an expression of this summoning. I created a harmonic ballet with the string orchestra, where the low notes formulate questions and the high notes respond with other questions. At specific moments, these notes come together, creating a sonic unity, but without being able to answer the big questions of life and death. Finally, the dreaded call of the owl is explicitly presented. Track 2 - Childhood Memorie s. "Reflections on the Deathbed" - As one becomes aware of the end, memories of the beginning flood in, recalling a distant childhood, like whispers from the past echoing in the chambers of the mind.
